Volunteer Team

Linda is our Operator Trainer and she began volunteering in 2016. She likes reading fiction. She enjoys volunteering at the Centre because it gives her a sense of being involved with something important and has given her opportunity to meet some wonderful people amongst the staff, other volunteers and the many lovely clients, past and present.

 

 

 

Sheila started volunteering at the Centre in 2004 after bringing her husband for Oxygen Therapy Sessions. She loves Keep Fit and Pilates. She enjoys volunteering as it gives her a feeling of giving back and feel she is doing something good for the members who use the therapy.

 

 

Frank started volunteering at the Centre in 2006. He enjoys walking and also volunteers as a Footpath Warden. He likes to help out at the Centre as it gives him a change of scenery as well as an opportunity to meet new people.

 

 

 

Dawn has been volunteering at the centre since 2011. She likes travelling, yoga, meeting up with friends and walking her dog. The opportunity to meet and help people are the main reasons Dawn enjoys volunteering.

 

 

 

Anne-Marie joined our volunteer team in 2017. She enjoys reading and spends her time helping as a Governor at a local school and chasing after her puppy Wilson! She says she loves coming to the Centre, she views it as a happy place and feels there are two-way benefits for both the members and the volunteers.

 

 

 

Doreen started volunteering at the centre in 2017. She enjoys walking and is a member of the local Book Club and CrockenARA. She enjoys volunteering as she loves meeting and helping people and being part of a team.

 

 

 

Simon joined the Centre in 2018. He likes sailing and baking delicious cakes, if you come to the Centre for a Coffee Morning you will likely have a chance to sample one of his creations! Simon enjoys volunteering at the Centre as he enjoys the conversation and frequent laughter!

 

 

 

Brenda began volunteering in 2019, she enjoys photography, gardening, reading and travelling. Brenda loves to see the satisfaction the oxygen session gives to the members and operating the chamber.

 

 

 

Tracy joined our volunteer team in 2019. She enjoys walking, baking cakes, keep fit classes, reading, theatre and anything Phantom of the Opera! She enjoys volunteering because she feels that she’s giving something, her time and her love, to help others. She feels blessed to have made friendships with other volunteers and visitors to the Centre.

 

 

 

Sue joined our volunteer team in 2021. Sue enjoys sports and gardening. She enjoys volunteering at the Centre as she had a family member with MS and is keen to help others suffering with the illness.
