Volunteer with Swanley Therapy Centre

Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our Centre. Without them, we simply wouldn’t be able to provide the support and therapies our members rely on.

Whether you can spare a regular morning, afternoon or more, your time could make a real difference to people in Swanley and the surrounding communities.

Our current volunteering opportunity

Chamber Operator Volunteer

Our most urgent need is for volunteers who can help us run our therapy sessions.

Don’t worry if you’ve never worked in a chamber before — we’ll train you.

With training and support, you’ll learn how to:

  • Welcome and assist members
  • Help members into the chamber
  • Adjust oxygen masks
  • Operate the chamber controls
  • Safely pressurise the chamber
  • Monitor the session
  • Safely depressurise the chamber
  • Clean equipment afterwards

What commitment do we need?

We’re particularly looking for volunteers who can offer their time regularly and become part of our team on an ongoing basis.

Our current priority is volunteer cover during our therapy sessions, particularly on:

Wednesdays – 12:30pm–2:30pm
Thursdays – 12:30pm–2:30pm

Chamber operator training is provided, and we’re looking for volunteers who are able to continue supporting the Centre on an ongoing basis following their training.

Join our team

You’ll be joining a team of volunteers who help keep the Centre running and make our members feel welcome.

Our volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and bring different skills and experiences with them.

You don’t have to be an expert. You just need to be reliable, friendly and willing to learn.
